Puzzle (Diagemtas Jigsaw Puzzle)
12th April 2016 – 7th February 2021
My lovable, cuddly, mad about people, wiggleworm Puzzle had a seizure just before Christmas which was neither vestibular or epilepsy but the vets were uncertain exactly what it was.
Some of her behaviour changed after that and at times she looked confused and frightened. A lot of the changes were very subtle but her frightened behaviour seemed worse in the evening after she had eaten. I am not sure whether the food had anything to do with it or whether it was getting dark or even maybe the electric lights but it was upsetting to watch my confident girl look scared.
I knew something was wrong and it all came to a head on Sunday morning when she had another seizure far worse than the one I had witnessed before Christmas.
She never cried out at all but it was like all her limbs and body went stiff in slow motion one by one and she looked absolutely terrified. It is thought she had a brain tumour which caused the seizures.
It has been one of the worst things I have ever had to do but I could not let her carry on suffering. I am still finding it hard to come to terms with the fact she has gone but know it was the best for her. Taken way too soon.
RIP my fun loving girl. Cannot believe you are gone.
